The tenth annual Faces of Innocence fundraising event on Thursday, May 4, 2017, broke all previous records, raising $336,960 to benefit the Midwest Innocence Project (MIP). MIP is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the investigation, litigation and exoneration of the wrongfully convicted. Attorney Jonathan W. McConnell of McConnell Law Firm sponsored the Kansas City, Missouri, event that featured a dinner and auction.
McConnell was honored to attend the event and during the auction, had the opportunity to purchase an eight day, seven night travel package to the Beso Del Sol Resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast. A highlight of the evening was when McConnell donated the package back to MIP, requesting it be gifted to one of the individuals who had been exonerated.
