Several years ago, Jonathan W. McConnell, the founding attorney of the McConnell Law Firm, appealed a decision and won a Kansas district court reversal on behalf of his client. The reversal granted the client her driving privileges back after a suspension by the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR).

In late 2016, the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) appealed that reversal and the decision of the District Court was overturned. However, McConnell vowed to continue fighting for the rights of his client.

On October 22, 2018, McConnell was at the Kansas Supreme Court, requesting a review of the last reversal. In his opening statements, McConnell argued that the court of appeals applied an incorrect standard in the case. McConnell later had the opportunity to rebut the argument of the KDOR’s attorney, Adam D. King.

The review request by McConnell on behalf of his client is currently being considered by the Kansas Supreme Court. Our firm eagerly looks forward to their decision.
